Kelly Wilson - General Manager at our Connecticut Facility
We are excited to announce Kelly Wilson as the new General Manager of PTA Plastics at our Connecticut facility! Kelly brings extensive experience and leadership skills, and is poised to drive our growth and innovation initiatives in this critical role.
You became the General Manager for our Connecticut facility in August. What were some of your previous job roles and responsibilities before coming to PTA Plastics?
• Operations Team Lead (ATP) – Tempe Arizona
Lead a team to improve operations so they didn’t close the plant
• Site Buildout – Revision Eyewear (Ballistic Eyewear)
Greenfield – Lead the team from infrastructure to equipment
Built and ANSI approved in 6 months
• Director of Sales – Seitz
Revamped sales department
Lead a team resulting in 5-day RFQ process
Created a team to launch IQMS quoting module
Created triggers for customer pricing updates using Smartsheet
What are some of your responsibilities as General Manager at PTA?
Some of my responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations, and working with the team to create and beat weekly performance goals. Additionally, I will be supporting the training of employees to achieve objectives and to further their careers. I'm also going to be aware of project timelines and supporting the team by removing obstacles so they continue to meet delivery dates. Implementing, and maintaining budgetary and resource allocation plans are important along with delegating responsibilities and supporting Standard Work leading to additional efficiencies and skill levels. I have a team building focus!
What are some of the goals you have as General Manager?
I would like to achieve our 2030 and 2035 goals and objectives.
What impact does your role have internally?
I am a provider of guidance and feedback to help and strengthen the team and their knowledge/skill base leading to achieving company and personal goals.
What impact does your role have on our customers?
To maintain the level of trust and reliability PTA has built with all of our customers. Allowing our customers visibility to all key PTA Team members ensuring the customers know our bench strength.

I assistant-coached Varsity football, with my brother, in New Jersey where we won a Group 4 state title playing in Giants stadium 13-0!
